Welcome

Hi all,
I'm Geoff and I'm a retired soldier and lecturer in woodwork.
Here is my early history in the Army.  I've recorded it here more for my own recollection than anything else?

Junior Leaders Bn RAOC - North Frith Barracks then across to Dettingen Barracks - Blackdown Hants.
August 1959 - March 1962
Mulcahy House, C Company ~  founder member.
Become a LCpl in the last year.  Obtained Army Cert of Education 2nd Class and three passes in First Class.
Mathematics, Map Reading and English.  So I could read, write, do sums and find my way around.  Seemed reasonable.  Obtained trade Clerk RAOC B3. (Technical Clerk)
RAOC 1962 - 1984
Trained and passed as a potential Regimental Duties NCO in 1 Trg Bn RAOC.
July 1962 - 15 ABOD (Rear) Emblem, Employed as RD then as a Clerk in Orderly Room - Promoted A/L/Cpl 22/8/62 and then busted 16/11/64. Clerk RAOC B2 8/2/65
Oct 1965 - 98 OMP Kuching, Orderly Room Cpl - Promoted L/Cpl, 1/8/65, A/Cpl. 11/11/65
Oct 1966 - PCA 3 BOD Singapore, Wastage rate provision - Promoted Cpl 1/10/ 66. RPC2 10/12/66, Clerk RAOC B1, 2/2/68.
April 1968 - 6 Flight AAC, i/c FAAcO - RPC 1 - 30/7/69. EPC 1 - 19/3/69, Promoted Sgt 1/9/69.
Nov 1970 - HQ Br Troops Sharjah. i/c Area Clothing Shop
July 1971 - PCA COD Bicester, Provision Sgt. (+ Chief Clerk 46 Shadow Coy)
Nov 1974 - Ord Depot Antwerp, i/c Stocktaking and Reconcilliation. Promoted SSGT, 29/11/74 - sub 1/10/75 (WO2 - 4/5/77, sub 1/10/77 - WO i/c Accounts).
Dec 1977 - CICP Bicester, WO2 General Stores Provision - Promoted WO1 - 24/8/81
Aug 1981 - Clansman Installation and Advisory Team (CIAT), Ord WO - RSRE Great Malvern, and onto demob August 1984......



1985 - 1990 ~ Woodwork Supervisor, Newark Training Workshop - Senior Supervisor.
Part Time Lecturer at Newark & Sherwood College for Woodcrafts.
1990 - 2004 ~ Full Time Lecturer at Newark & Sherwood College - Accredited Trainer and Assessor - to City & Guilds and Construction Industry Training Board to Level 3 trades.
